Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr.I.Alizadeh / Our society needs a new political force, Eldar Namazov, former assistant to the Azerbaijani President, president of the public 'For Azerbaijan' forum and political scientist, said on 25 September.
If political force is socially relevant it will be formed, the political scientist considers. Earlier, the issue was discussed by political experts however, the opposition Musavat Party, Popular Front Party, Democratic Party and Azerbaijani National Independent Party started discussions on this issue after the 2005 parliamentary elections.
Establishment of false organizations is inadmissible, Namazov said. Such organizations cannot be successful. Society should resolve the issue and new political forces should be formed by people.
New political forces mean new philosophy, new opinions on political processes, methods of struggle and ideologies. Some 10 to 15 new parties have been formed in the country in recent years. However, none of them have new ideas.
Formation of new political forces should be completed by the upcoming presidential elections 2008, as the election process creates favorable conditions for their formation. Formation of new forces will be easier during the election process than before.
Namazov was employed as the President's assistance from 1993 to 1999. Namazov retired in 1999 and is currently working as a political scientist.
