Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / Political parties can direct relations between civilizations, Ali Ahmadov, the executive secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, said during the international 'Dialogue of civilizations: role of political parties" conference in Baku.
Nations, countries and civilizations are usually contest for perfection, Ahmadov said. Sometimes this contest leads to contradiction between civilizations which reach danger level.
Carina Peterson, the vice-speaker of the Lithuanian Parliament, said that political parties were grant for democracy in any country.
Attending the meeting by representatives of the government, members of the Parliament and representatives of ruling parties from India, Russia, the US, Germany, Japan, Great Britain, Turkey, Iran, Austria, Canada, Bulgaria, Latvia, Romania, Moldova, China, Egypt, Vietnam and Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani President's letter was read at the conference. President stated that he appreciates deeply the role of political parties in dialogue between civilizations.
