Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. K. Zarbaliyeva / Thirty-eight people trying to pass the boundaries of Azerbaijan were detained in September. Nine trespassers were Azerbaijani, nine - Iranian, eight - Georgian, four - Turkish, four - Chinese, two - Pakistani, one - Armenian, and one - Uzbekistan. Sixteen of them had false documents, four had other documents. Forty foreigners were detained due to the absence of documents. A total of 141 American citizens were detained due to the absence of visas. Four Russian, four Iranian, and seven Azerbaijani vessels were also detained during a check-up of the costal regime of the Caspian Sea. Seventy of the men who were searched were arrested.
An additional twenty-one smuggling cases were also revealed in September.
