Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Alizadeh / Azerbaijani opposition MPs demand the Azerbaijani Parliament to recognize the Kurdistan Workers' Party as a terrorist organization, MP Panah Huseyn, a member of the MP group of Musavat, said on 30 November.

A commission was established under the chairmanship of the MP Ziyafat Askarov, the first Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan Parliament) to develop the resolution project on recognition of the Kurdistan Workers' Party as a terrorist organization by the Azerbaijani Parliament.

However, later the resolution was suspended. The reason for the delay is connected with the single regulation signed by Azerbaijan and Turkey during the latest visit of the Turkish President Abdulla Gul to Azerbaijan. The document was ratified by the Parliament.

Huseyn demands explanation from the Parliament for the delay of the resolution. "We appealed to the Speaker of the Parliament Ogtai Asadov in connection with the issue. We demand to issue the document signed by the Azerbaijani and Turkish Presidents concerning recognition of the Kurdistan Workers' Party as a terrorist organization. There is an opinion among population that Azerbaijan delayed the resolution as a result of the pressure by the Party to the Azerbaijani Government and Parliament.

The Musavat MP group consists of five members.
