Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 April / Trend / President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev congratulated his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin due to his election as the Chairman of Unified Russia party, as well as the Chairman of the Italian People's Party Silvio Berlusconi due to his victory at early parliamentary elections.
In his congratulation to Putin, President Aliyev stressed that his election as the chairman of the party, the power closely uniting the Russian public, will promote further unification of all the political forces for development of Russia.
In his congratulation to Berlusconi, President Aliyev expressed his confidence that expansion of relations between the two friendly countries and the efforts within the framework of international structures will further serve the interests of both the nations.
