US Withdrawal from Iraq to Create Security Threats: Iranian President

Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 August / Trend / On 15 August, the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said at a news conference in Istanbul that the United States' withdrawal from Iraq would create emptiness, which would lead to security threats, and the countries of region should fill up this emptiness, the Iranian Iribnewswebsite reported.

According to Ahmadinejad, Iraq's territorial integrity and stability is important for neighboring countries, but at present Iran does not have a program to begin actions on this matter.

The Iranian President said that if the United States would withdraw from Iraq soon, countries, distant from region, should not interfere in the events.

Ahmadinejad said that plans on gas and power field would be improved between Turkey and Iran in near future.
