No Interference in Voting Process by Police Registered in Azerbaijan’s Ganja City

Azerbaijan, Ganja, 14 October / Trend /No intefenece in the voting process by police has been registered in Ganja City based polling stations at 12:00PM. This was told to Trend by Ilgar Balakishiyev, Chief of the Ganja Police Station.

The connection is being held with all patrol services, which are on duty in polling stations and constituencies, Balakishiyev said and added that no incident was registered. In the case of emergency police will take preventive measures, said Balakishiyev.

Some 537 police officers are involved to provide security in polling stations and constituencies. Members of law enforcement bodies turned to medium security since the ballot papers were delivered to constituencies.

Presidential elections take place in Azerbaijan today. Seven candidates take part in the elections, including Ilham Aliyev, chairman of ruling New Azerbaijan Party; Igbal Agazade, chairman of opposition Umid (Hope) Party; Fazil Gazanfaroglu, chairman of Great Establishment Party; Gudrat Hasanguliyev, chairman of Unified Popular Front Party; Hafiz Hajiyev, chairman of Muasir Musavat Party; Fuad Aliyev, chairman of Liberal Democrat Party and independent candidate Gulamhuseyn Alibayli.
