Iran, Tehran, 10 Dec/ Trend corr A. Namdari/ Member of Security Commission of the Iranian parliament said to Trend that several spies transmitting information to West about research conducted in atomic power stations of Iran have been detained, Kargozaran and Etimad newspapers reported.
The Iranian media did not report number and names of detained spies. According to well-informed sources, they were sending "information about programs and researches".
"At the moment, the case of detained people who were sending information they collected in their work place [atomic power station] is being investigated," Ismail Kosari, member of Security Commission of the Iranian parliament, said to Trend .
Kosari did not reveal details of their detention. He said the public will be provided with more comprehensive information soon.
The detained were working in technical, scientific and research departments of atomic power stations, newspapers reported.
Two weeks ago Iranian citizen Ali Ashtari, charged with spying for Israel, was hung.
