Afghanistan, Kabul, January 14/ Trend , A. Hakimi/

Spokesman for the Afghan President Hamayun Hamidzada said Kabul's mediating talks to restore trust between Islamabad and New Delhi was a significant achievement.

Hamidzada accompanied President Hamid Karzai on a two-day visit to India. He told a news conference Tuesday that it will be a great accomplishment if Kabul succeeds.

Hamdizada said the Afghan government has sound relations with the elected Pakistani government and also with India.

He said Karzai discussed a joint strategy to fight terrorism with the Indian prime minister.

Hamdizada added that Pakistan and other regional countries should also included in the discussions.

He said Afghanistan, Pakistan and India are all victims of terrorism and a joint resolution is needed.
