Kazakh Secretary of State Kanat Saudabayev is headed to the U.S., the Kazakh presidential press service reported. As part of his visit, Saudabayev will meet senior U.S. officials, political and business representatives and leading experts on Kazakhstan and Central Asia from Feb. 2-6.
"Upon the invitation of the U.S., Saudabayev will take part in a national breakfast with prayer. The event is held annually in Washington in early February. The U.S. president and vice president, members of the U.S. administration and Congress and foreign guests participate to enhance mutual understanding and trust among politicians worldwide by adopting common values for all nations and religions," the press service said. Saudabayev will deliver a speech at a meeting of the Nuclear Threat Initiative Board of Directors, take part as an honored guest in a dinner organized by the Monterey Institute of the International Studies Center for Nonproliferation Studies and participate in round-table talks at the Carnegie Foundation with U.S. politicians, experts and business representatives.
