An Azerbaijani pro-government party will partake in the referendum initiative campaign together with the ruling New Azerbaijan Party (NAP).
"Our party members will hold the campaign together with the governing NAP's initiative group," Ana Vatan Party Chairman Fazail Agamali told Trend on Feb. 2.
In late December, Azerbaijan's parliament passed a decision to hold a referendumon March 18 to amend 29 articles of the Constitution.
Thirteen initiative groups have submitted signature lists to the Central Election Commissions (CEC).
The CEC registered the New Azerbaijan, Shahar and Taraggi initiative groups.
Abad Kand failed to pass registration.
Some 113 initiative groups passed registration at precinct election commissions.
The deadline for submitting signature lists to the CEC expired at 18:00 on Feb. 1.
The CEC will review the registration of the Vatandash Jamiyyati, Law and Democracy, Azad Soz, For Permanent Development, Movement for Karabakh and Republic, Republicans, People's Republic of Azerbaijan, National Independence and Zaka initiative groups.
The Constitution was adopted in 1995. Amendments and additions were made in 2002.
The Ana Vatan Party was formed in 1991 and is represented in parliament by two state deputies.
