A convict at the Tbilisi 5th Female Prison, Tsitso Sabashvili, nailed her hands and feet, former Political Prisoners for Human Rights NGO Chairman Nana Kakabadze said.
The convict injured herself after demanding that her case be reviewed, Punishment Execution, Probation and Juridical Assistance Ministry spokesman Salome Makharadze said.
Sabashvili was sentenced to 17 years in prison for murder. She claims that she was unfairly convicted and wants her case to be reviewed.
