Laborites accuse Georgian President, his family of spending half a billion lari

Georgia, Tbilisi, Feb.11 / Trend corr N. Kirtzkhalia / Georgian Laborites Party estimated the sum of money spent by President Mikhail Saakashvili and his family for journeys. 

"In 2007-2008, the head of state and his family spent half a billion lari for journeys," secretary general of the party Eoseb Shatberashili said to a news conference on Feb.11.

"When so many refugees starve in the country, Saakashvili's family was in a travel from Dec.25 to late January. They were in Sahara and roamed around the African continent in a submarine. Morover, the President stays in a flagship hotel of France twice a week," Laborites said.
