Prospects of combating illegal turnover of narcotics in the world will be discussed in Vienna. The 52nd annual session of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs, which will take place in the international center in Vienna on March 11-20, will also be attended by the Azerbaijani delegation.
Azerbaijan will be represented at the session by the officials of the Interior Ministry, Ministry of National Security and Ministry of Health.
The session will focus on the achievements obtained after the first Political Declaration adopted in 1998, existing problems, determine key directions of combating over the next ten years. As a result of summit, a Political Declaration of the participating countries is expected to be adopted for combating narcotics problems in the world.
The UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs combines 53 member countries, including 11 countries of Africa, 11- Asia, 10 - Latin America and Caribbean Basin, 6 - East Europe, 14 - Western Europe.
