Azerbaijani foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov received new ambassador of Brazil Paulo Antonio Pereira Pinto due to delivery of credentials, the foreign ministry said.
Brazil is interested in development of relations with Azerbaijan, ambassador said.
Mammadyarov highly appreciated decision of brazil authorities about opening of embassy in Baku and expressed confidence that it will be positive action for development of bilateral relations.
Mammadyarov told about broad opportunities of cooperation of both countries in politics, tourism and culture. He stressed usefulness of relations between diplomatic academies of Brazil and Azerbaijan and exchange of experience between young diplomats.
