Health Ministry of Saudi Arabia announced the formation of a working group that will make preventive measures against outbreak of influenza A (H1N1) during pilgrimage for Muslims in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, Al Jazeera told.
The Committee will prepare a work for two weeks, it will include main measures to combat outbreaks of influenza, said Deputy Minister of Health for Preventive Medicine. According to him, the work of the Committee will observe the experts from the World Health Organization and the United States Center for Disease Control.
The decision was taken after the Saudi press informed that because of the large flow of Muslim pilgrims from all over the world there is a serious threat to the spread of the virus A (H1N1).
