The U.S. Congress delegation is expected to visit Astana next week. The delegation will be headed by the leader of the Subcommittee on Asian and the Pacific countries of the International Relations Committee Eni Faleomavaega, Kazakh Foreign Ministry's official Yerzhan Ashikbayev said at a briefing on June 29.
He said the members of the Congress plan to discuss the main directions of development of strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the United States during the scheduled visits in Astana.
OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut will also visit Kazakhstan on July 1-4, the ministry's official said.
"During the visit, he will hold several bilateral meetings, as well as speak at a seminar on arrangements for the upcoming presidency of Kazakhstan in OSCE in 2010," Ashikbayev said.
