Ethnic conflict in China must be solved through dialogue: OIC secretary general

Ethnic conflict between the Uighur Turks, living in China, and Chinese should be resolved through dialogue, said Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, the OIC reported.

"The conflict between the Uighur Turks, living in China, and Chinese should be resolved through dialogue," said Ihsanoglu.

The riots occurred in the administrative center of the city of Urumqi caused death of 156 people and 816 injured civilian casualties. OIC Secretary General called upon Muslim states that support diplomatic relations with China not to remain beyond from the events in China and do everything possible to stop the conflict.
