The Netherlands has expressed its full support for the draft resolution submitted on refugees and forcibly displaced people by Georgia at the UN Assembly. The Georgian Foreign Ministry said that this was said at a meeting between Georgian Foreign Minister, Grigol Vashadze, and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Netherlands to Georgia, Peter Langenberg.

Russia has sharply criticized the Georgian project and urged European countries and the United States not to support it.

The Press and Information Department of the Georgian Foreign Ministry said that the meeting was held by the Ambassador's request. Langenberg reiterated the Netherland's permanent position towards Georgia's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The interlocutors also discussed Georgian integration into European and Euro-Atlantic organizations, bilateral cooperation and international problems.
