Three commissions will operate under the TurkPA General Secretariat.
"The first commission will deal with language, culture and education, the second commission will operate in the direction of harmonization of national legislation and fostering international links and the third commission will be economic," TurkPA Secretary General, Ramil Hasanov, told journalists on sept.29.
On Sept. 28, Baku hosted a plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkish-speaking countries with the participation of parliamentary delegations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
Ramil Hasanov, chairman of the youth organization of the "New Azerbaijan Party" was elected TurkPA General Secretary at the meeting on Sept. 29.
According to Hasanov, the TurkPA General Secretariat will center on developing the inter-parliamentary relations of the Turkish-speaking countries and exchanging experience, discussing joint proposals and resolving common problems.
"The TurkPA General Secretariat will also work to attract other Turkish-speaking countries to the PA. The TurkPA General Secretariat will launch its activity in 2010. But the organizational work has already begun," the Secretary General said.
