Insanitariness was the reason of the mass food poisoning in the Garaheybat Troop Training Center in Garadagh District of Baku, Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov told journalists on Oct.1.
As many as 164 soldiers have been hospitalized by the Military Clinic Hospital for mass food poisoning in the Garaheybat Military Training Center in Garadagh district of Baku on May 28.
A total of 158 soldiers returned to the service place after examination. Six of them are underwent treatment as extra diseases have been revealed in them. These soldiers were discharged from hospital on May 29.
The investigation is underway. No one has been brought into action so far, Garalov added.
According to Garalov, the Defense Ministry made answerable several employees of the military unit.
The Military Prosecutor Office has filed a criminal case in accordance with Article 342.2 (neglect of service, resulting in grave consequences) of the Criminal Code.
