The leader of the Alliance for Georgia Irakli Alasania does not intend to participate at the Security Council meeting, which takes place today.
The issues raised at the meeting of the Security Council, which took place in early August, have not been resolved yet, he said at a briefing today.
"The issue of citizens detained for political grounds has not been resolved yet. The situation with the media has worsened. For some reasons, was stopped working group to study the electoral code," said Alasania.
He cited several reasons to refrain from continuing cooperation with authorities in the format of the Security Council. Among them there are the position of leadership on conclusions of Tagliavini's commission, recent personnel changes at the ministry of defense and in the sphere of security.
