OANA meeting in Tehran opened by the Minister of Culture of Iran, who said that OANA's member agencies should strive to have closer cooperation. He added that the Ministry of Culture of Iran is prepared at the highest level to fulfill all the tasks which fall to his share in this regard.
The 31st Executive Board Meeting (EBM) and the 25th Editorial-Technical Experts Group (ETEG) Meeting on "A quest for global media balancing" will finish at Tehran Enqelab Hotel on Nov. 17.
Azerbaijan at the event will represent by the state agency Azertac (as a member of OANA) and news agency TREND (as an invited observer).
TREND news agency at the meeting is represented by Director of International Cooperation Agency Elchin Huseynov.
According to the information reported by Elchin Huseynov from Tehran, Iran's culture minister Mohammad Husseini taking part in the opening session, said in his speech that the media operating in the region should cooperate more actively and all obstacles to this should be removed.
According to Huseynov, tonight OANA members will participate in a dinner with the Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.
