Georgia, Tbilisi, Nov. 18 / Trend N.Kirtzkhalia /

Belarus is avoiding hard decisions concerning the recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetia through the use of diplomatic maneuvering, Georgian State Reintegration Minister Temur Yakobashvili said before a governmental meeting today.

According to the official, on the one hand, Russia is pressuring Belarus, and on the other hand, the country is aiming to establish normal relations with the civilized world.

"I think it is no secret that Belarus is trying to stabilize relations with the civilized world and in this respect the recognition of the separatist regions does not suit Belarus," he added.

Today a Belarusian parliamentary delegation arrived in Georgia. They will meet representatives of Georgia's executive and legislative authorities.

According to Yakobashvili, the delegation's visit is important as they will have the chance to get real information from state officials about the threats emanating from Russia.
