The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is preparing a response to the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kiev's protest, the FM's Press Service head Valery Jigun told Trend .
The embassy delivered a diplomatic note to the FM after the screening of an anti-Azerbaijani film on the Inter television channel Dec. 7, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine Talat Aliyev told Trend yesterday.
After Euronews, Inter prepared and presented an anti-Azerbaijani film about Karabakh.
Jigun said Ukraine's toward the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has not changed.
"We think that this conflict must be solved peacefully on the basis of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity," he said.
He added that Inter is a commercial channel, and its programs do no reflect state interests.
"The Ukrainian FM cannot bear responsibility for programs on this channel. There is freedom of speech in Ukraine," he said.
