Azerbaijan's ambassador to Jamaica Agshin Mehdiyev attends Jamaican Annual Diplomatic Week (January 25-30, 2010).

Mehdiyev met with Jamaican FM and foreign trade minister's deputy for multilateral cooperation, ambassador Vilma Macknish Jan.27.

Views exchanged on issues of mutual interest in the international organizations to which both countries are members, and necessity of continuing the consolidations in this regard was also emphasized during the meeting.

Mehdiyev met with Jamaican deputy prime minister, foreign affairs and foreign trade minister Kenat Boug Jan.28.

The meeting focused on the ways of strengthening bilateral relations and prospects of development of cooperation in all spheres, in which our country is interested. Also views exchanged on improving agreement-legal base of relations between the two countries.

Touching upon Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, Mehdiyev brought to the minister's attention that Armenia has occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijani territories and over 1 million Azerbaijanis were refugees and IDPs, and informed the minister about the conflict in details.

Jamaican General Governor Patrick Alan organized a feast for accredited ambassadors.

Jamaican Annual Diplomatic Week will end Jan.30.
