Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov has appointed judges and prosecutors to regional and district courts.

According to decrees signed by the president and published in Turkmen media today, Justice Counselor Kakamyrat Allakulyev has been appointed first deputy prosecutor of the Akhal province and Justice Counselor Merdan Gylyjov has been appointed first deputy prosecutor of Mary province.

According to Turkmen laws, general deputy prosecutors of Turkmenistan, prosecutors heading provincial prosecution offices, those having the rights to urban provinces, chief military prosecutors and deputies, as well as prosecutors heading regions, chief military prosecutors and their deputies, prosecutors heading regional, urban, military and specialized prosecution offices are appointed and dismissed by the Turkmen president on proposal from the country's attorney general of the country.

In accordance with the Constitution, the general prosecutor of Turkmenistan is appointed and dismissed by the president with consent of Parliament.
