Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan Mohammad Bagher Bahrami congratulated Azerbaijani people and the State on May 28 - Republic Day, a source at the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend.
"I express my sincere congratulations to the people and the state of friendly and brotherly Azerbaijan on national holiday May 28 - Republic Day," said Bahrami.
According to the ambassador, the state and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran are willing further development of Azerbaijan in all spheres. Iran has always supported the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and today Iran is a reliable bulwark in support of these values, the ambassador said.
According to Bahrami, the most reliable foundation of friendly relations between the two countries is the common history and culture, as well as the will of the respected presidents of both countries. "We are observing a confident move forward in our relations. I hope that in the current situation, the potentials will be maximally used for further development of our relations," said Bahrami.
