Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Council of Europe Zurab Chiaberashvili, together with the CoE Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland, signed the European Convention on Consular Functions.

The Convention has been open for signature by member - countries of the Council of Europe since 1967, a source at the Foreign Ministry of Georgia told Trend. It establishes certain rules of consular relations between the countries in the light of the 1963Vienna Convention.  

Soon Georgia is also going to sign additional protocol to the Convention on the Protection of Refugees.
