It is time to audit the activities of the OSCE field missions in the field, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarabayev said at the opening of the OSCE Conference High-Level Tolerance and Non-discrimination in Astana.
"It is time to audit the activities of OSCE field missions in the troubled regions ... They should give more emphasis and attention on interethnic relations, as the price of the issue - people's lives," Nazarbayev said.
In his view, it is time to establish the OSCE Centre of tolerance and nondiscrimination.
"The Central Asia is a region inhabited by people of various ethnic groups and faiths. Recent events in Kyrgyzstan can sow seeds of distrust among nations. These events are challenge to all of us," Nazarbayev said.
Astana hosts OSCE Conference on tolerance and nondiscrimination June 29 - 30.
