Azerbainan, Baku, Aug.23 / Trend, M.Aliyev /

Executive power heads in Azerbaijan were told today to get ready for the parliamentary elections.

"They have been instructed to create the necessary conditions to promote all candidates," departmental head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Zeynal Nagdaliyev said today during training courses to improve the skills of district electoral commissions chairmen.

He added that the electoral violations revealed during the 2009 municipal elections at some polling stations must not be repeated.

"The president dismissed the head of the Naftalan Executive Power due to these violations," Nagdaliyev added. "Control will be even more rigid during these elections."

Fewer violations were found during the 2009 municipal elections than previous elections, he said.

According to Nagdaliyev, 62 polling stations will be moved and repairs will be conducted on 1,076 polling stations by Sept. 1.

The parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for early November.
