Azerbaijan, Baku, Aug. 25 / Trend M.Aliyev /

Azerbaijan does not intend to join either NATO or the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), until these organizations condemned Armenia as an aggressor, Presidential Administration Social and Political Department head Ali Hasanov told journalists on today.

Azerbaijan refuses to join the CSTO, as it does not want to be in the same organization with the aggressor Armenia. Azerbaijan has nothing to discuss with the CSTO, until Armenia abandoned the aggressive policy and the organization has made a clear position in relation to the occupation and the aggressive policy of Armenia," Hasanov said.

Azerbaijan will join neither NATO nor the CSTO until it meets the country's interests, Hasanov said.

The CSTO is the military-political union created a number of CIS countries on the basis of the Collective Security Treaty (CST) dated May 15, 1992. The organization includes Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Belarus and Uzbekistan.
