EU delegation head presents his credentials to Georgian FM

New head of the EU delegation in Georgia Philip Dimitrov has today handed over a copy of his credentials to Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Tornike Gordadze.

Famous Bulgarian politician Dimitrov earlier headed the Union of Democratic Forces and served as the Bulgarian Prime Minister in 1979, the ministry told Trend.

Dimitrov has been elected several times a deputy of the Bulgarian National Assembly.

In this new position, Dimitrov replaced Per Eklund, who headed the EU delegation since 2006.

After presenting his credentials, the sides discussed issues of cooperation between Georgia and the EU.
