Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan has held a large operative meeting dedicated to outcomes of 2010 and duties ahead, website of Prosecutor General's Office reported.

In his report to the meeting, General Prosecutor Zakir Garalov called the last year as a successful reporting period for the prosecutor offices of Azerbaijan. Garalov said as a result of joint activity together with other law-enforcement agencies of the country, first of all, with the Interior Ministry and Ministry of National Security, they strengthened crime control in 2010, achieved stabilization of criminal situation, took necessary measures for strengthening of anti-corruption struggle to prevent this dangerous appearance of organized crime.

Concrete orders were given at the meeting to realize employment of 100 job places for completion of personnel with young experts and effective organizing the anti-corruption struggle in 2011, to held discussions at the structures of the General Prosecutor's Office on the outcomes of 2010, to take necessary measures due to preparation for the large board meeting of the General Prosecutor's Office.

First Deputy General Prosecutor Rustam Usubov reported about the work done in the field of crime control and protection of rights and freedoms of the citizens in 2010. Chief of the Analytical Department of the General Prosecutor's Office Azizagha Hasanov reported about the working plan of the office for the first half of 2011.
