The results of the exit-poll showed that people of Kazakhstan supported my course of modernization, President Nursultan Nazarbayev said Sunday night.
Incumbent President Nursultan Nazarbayev garnered 94.82% of votes in the Sunday's presidential election, according to exit-poll data, announced Sunday evening at the headquarters of the ruling party, Nur Otan.
Nazarbayev, who arrived around midnight to the headquarters of the Nur Otan party, said that the elections were fair and transparent.
"This election was an exam that we survived. A course on political and social modernization has won", he said.
