Kazakh president makes several appointments

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev made a series of appointments to senior posts, the presidential press office reported.

Nazarbayev signed decrees to appoint the deputy head of the national bank, the deputy foreign minister, commander of missile and artillery forces, the deputy army chief for fire damage and executive secretaries of various ministries.

Based on the order, Bektasov Aben Agybaevich was appointed the deputy head of the national bank.

Lut Alchekenov was appointed as the new commander of the Kazakh missile and artillery forces and deputy chief of army for fire damage.

Nazarbayev appointed former ambassador to Ukraine Amangeldy Zhumabayev deputy foreign minister after being dismissed as ambassador on Thursday.

Nazarbayev replaced personnel in the Ministries of Health, Tourism and Sport and the agencies for regulating natural monopolies and statistics.

Based on the order, Musin Hoblandi was dismissed from the post of chief secretary of the Tourism and Sports Ministry and Yuri Shokamanov was dismissed from his post of executive secretary of the Statistics Agency.

Alisher Pirmetov will replace Hoblandi and Nurbolat Aydapkelov - Shokamanov in these posts.

Serikbol Musinov was appointed the health ministry's executive secretary and Rustam Akhmetov the executive secretary of the agency for regulating natural monopolies.
