May 28 has been announced as Day of Azerbaijan in Nevada by a decision of this state's governor Brian Sandoval, the Azerbaijani Consulate General in Los Angeles said.
According to Sandoval's official statement, Azerbaijan has become the first Muslim majority republic, and the U.S. supports the country's territorial integrity.
Earlier governors of Alaska, Washington and Montana states sent their official statements on the Republic Day to the Azerbaijan side.
