Moldovan parliament speaker to visit Azerbaijan

The Moldovan Acting President, the Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament Marian Lupu will visit Azerbaijan soon, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Andrei Popov said while receiving the newly appointed Azerbaijani Ambassador in Moldova Namiq Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Moldova said.

The Moldovan Acting President, the Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament Marian Lupu will visit Azerbaijan soon, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Andrei Popov said while receiving the newly appointed Azerbaijani Ambassador in Moldova Namiq Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Moldova said.

Deputy Minister provided information on the meeting held between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Moldovan Acting President, Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament Marian Lupu, during the celebration of 150th anniversary of the Italian Republic. Popov took part in this meeting and stressed the importance of bilateral negotiations.

Stressing the development of bilateral relations in various fields over 20 years of independence, Popov expressed confidence that these relations will develop more dynamically after a new ambassador was appointed. He expressed his hope that ambassador Aliyev will make all efforts to more intensively develop the cooperation within GUAM, OSCE, UN and the "Eastern Partnership".

Ambassador Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He said that he would spare no efforts for the development of bilateral relations at a high level and take an active position in the implementation of the approved projects while implementing the policy conducted by the Azerbaijani President to develop the relations between Azerbaijan and Moldova.
