The fourth meeting of the working group on defence and security will be held in Washington today within the Georgian-U.S charter on strategic partnership, Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a press briefing today.

The fourth meeting of the working group on defence and security will be held in Washington today within the Georgian-U.S charter on strategic partnership, Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at a press briefing today.

She said that a broad range of issues of bilateral cooperation in defense and security, transformation of the defense system, military education and development of military doctrine will be discussed.

"The sides will also discuss the road map of Georgia's accession to NATO," Kalandadze said.

Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergi Kapanadze, the head of analytical department of the Interior Ministry Shota Utiashvili and First Deputy Defence Minister Nodar Kharshiladze will attend the meeting.

U.S Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Eric Rubin and Assistant Deputy Minister of Defense Alexander Vershbow will also attend the meeting.
