The defense expenditures are planned to be increased by 1.9 percent in Azerbaijan's draft state and consolidated budget for 2012, the Finance Ministry told Trend.
In the 2012-draft budget, defense expenditures account for 14.8 percent of all expenditures.
Expenditures for maintaining the judiciary, law enforcement and prosecutors make up 5.6 percent. Particularly, it is planned to allocate 44.3 million manat for maintaining the judicial system, which is more by 1 million manat, or 2.3 percent compared to 2011.
The 2012-draft budget is expected to allocate funds for investing projects related to spheres of defense and security, judiciary, law enforcement and prosecutors.
In 2012, it is planned to finance activities of the Heinous Crimes Court, military tribunals, municipal and district courts and the administrative and economic courts not in an individual, but in centralized manner by the Justice Ministry.
