Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 5 / Trend E. Mehdiyev /

Chairman of the Azerbaijani opposition Democratic Party Sardar Jalaloglu does not exclude the possibility of creating new political blocks on the eve of the presidential elections scheduled for late 2013.

"The creation of new political blocks before the presidential elections will depend on existing conditions," he told Trend today.

He said it is difficult to give an accurate prediction about the emergence of new blocks, as the opposition parties will have to consider what steps should be taken given the international and domestic situation and that within the parties.

He said the nomination of a single opposition candidate in the presidential elections will depend on the situation which will occur before the elections.

"Political decisions are based not only on the subjective will of the party leaders, but also certain interests of the party itself, social order of the society and expectations of the international community, Mr Jalaloglu said.
