During his visit to Azerbaijan, Chief of the Turkish General Staff Necdet Ozel has visited the Alley of Honor and Alley of Martyrs, as well as the Turkish Martyrs Cemetery.
Ozel laid a wreath at the tomb of Heydar Aliyev and flowers at the grave of well-known scientist-ophthalmologist, academic Zarifa Aliyeva.
While visiting the Alley of Martyrs, the guests laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame.
Ozel also made an entry in the memorial guestbook.
Ozel told journalists that he paid his first foreign visit in this post to Azerbaijan, and expressed satisfaction with his trip.
Ozel arrived in Baku on Monday, Feb.6. The visit will last until Feb.9.
