Azerbaijani Parliamentary Speaker Oktay Asadov will participate in the UN "Alliance of Civilizations" Forum, parliamentary spokesman Akif Tevekkuloglu told media today.
He said that the parliamentary delegation headed by Asadov will be in Istanbul on May 30-31 to participate in the forum.
"The participants of the forum will exchange the views on expanding and intensifying inter-civilizational dialogue and cooperation, discuss priorities and goals," he said. "Such topics as the "Union of cultures and global politics", "Preventing conflicts and mediation", "Looking at the global world" will be discussed."
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will address the opening ceremony.
