French President Francois Hollande has today sent a congratulatory letter to his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the national holiday.
"I sincerely congratulate you and Azerbaijani people on the national holiday - Republic Day," the message said. "I wish you happiness, prosperity and success. I wish brilliant economic recovery observed for the last years to continue this year. I want to assure you of my readiness to strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries in accordance with the mandate entrusted to me by the French people."
Francois Hollande said Azerbaijan is France's important partner and it will become even more important in the future.
"You can be assured that France will continue its efforts to establish peace in the South Caucasus," the message said. "Mr. Aliyev, you can be sure that I have a great honor for you."
