President Ilham Aliyev attended the tunnel opening before the Cardiology Center built in the frame of the project of the first part of reconstruction of the Bilgah-Novkhany-Sumgayit motor highway, got acquainted with the work carried out under the project.
The minister of transport Ziya Mammadov informed the President on technical parameters of the tunnel constructed before the Cardiology Center in the frame of the project of the first part of reconstruction of the Bilgah-Novkhany-Sumgayit motor highway. As noted, the general extent of the tunnel makes 566 meters, with the length of - 65 meters, and width - 23 meters. Tunnel building has been carried out with high quality. The tunnel consists of four strips, and its width makes 15 meters. It has been informed that building of underground pedestrian passage in various parts of this site of road was completed, and construction of bridge is about completion.
The head of the state cut the ribbon symbolizing opening of the tunnel.
Then, President Ilham Aliyev has familiarized himself with the work carried out on the second part of project for reconstruction of the Bilgah-Novkhany-Sumgayit motor highway. The head of the state was informed on technical parameters of the project.
President of Azerbaijan gave certain recommendations and wished success to the road builders.
