Columbia plans to open diplomatic and trade missions in Azerbaijan.
This intention was expressed by the vice-president of the Colombian Senate, Edgar Espíndola Nino during the meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, who is on an official visit to Columbia, the foreign ministry told Trend on Thursday.
The diplomatic and trade missions will contribute to cooperation between the two countries in economic, energy, cultural and other areas.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Colombia Ilgar Mukhtarov were awarded the highest order of the Senate of Colombia for a considerable contribution to the development of relations between the two countries.
Mammadyarov is on a tour of Latin America.
