The Center for Strategic Studies under the Azerbaijani President has called on the EU and Russia to change.
While expressing its attitude on Russia's sale of arms to Armenia, director of the center Farhad Mammadov said that Azerbaijan never interferes in relations between the two countries.
"Our main concerns in regards to foreign relations involve national interests," he said. "We began thinking this way during the period of normalization between Armenia and Turkey."
He said that Azerbaijan's main concern is that Armenia's occupation is supported through indirect means. This includes the issuance of equipment and arms to Armenia.
Providing Armenia with a large loan without any terms creates conditions for the continuation of this policy, Mammadov said.
"We urge both parties to refrain from any kind of assistance to Armenia in hopes that it will abandon its aggressive policy," he added.
