The Turkmen economy has demonstrated steady growth and stability during the past ten years, Turkish President Abdullah Gul said before flying to Ashgabat, CNN Turk TV channel reported today.
"The growth of the Turkmen economy and political stability of the country have brought it to an important position in the region and contributed to the country's development in all spheres," Gul said.
Turkmenistan has contributed to the development and stability of the region with its important strategic location and its policy of neutrality, Gul said.
The president said that Turkmenistan's natural resources have also contributed to the development of the country's economy and became a guarantor of energy security for Turkey and European countries.
