The nomination of Ilham Aliyev for president reflects the Azerbaijani whole society's opinion, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Ali Ahmadov said at a meeting with chairmen of the primary territorial party organizations, held in the Garadagh district branch of the ruling party today.
The society appreciates the work carried out for the last ten years under the leadership of President Aliyev, he said.
If we compare the past and the present situation in Azerbaijan, then we will see a big change. The country's economy has grown threefold. The living conditions of people have been improved. A policy of modernization is being followed. The modernization is felt everywhere in the country. The appearance of cities and villages is being changed."
These meetings serve to the mobilization of primary territorial party organizations of the ruling party for the upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan, he said.
He added that the ruling party has extensive regional organizations and the work related to the elections is carried out by the district organizations.
Chairman of Garadagh district organization of the ruling party Aydin Huseynov and head of the Garadagh executive power Suleyman Mikayilov attended the meeting.
