The will of Azerbaijani people will be fully reflected in the outcome of the upcoming presidential elections, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at a press conference in Brussels on Friday, the EU official website reported.

According to the President, the government will do everything to provide that.

"Azerbaijan will invite international observers from Europe, from European institutions, and provide all the necessary conditions for all the candidates in order to present their programs and to present themselves to Azerbaijani people, Ilham Aliyev noted.

The President also said that there is a lot of time before the elections, and the campaign has not started yet.

It should be noted that the presidential elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for Autumn this year.

Responding to questions raised by journalists, Ilham Aliyev noted that there are no political prisoners in Azerbaijan, and nobody is being arrested on political grounds in the country.

"Freedom of media is provided, we have free Internet as well, and the number of Internet users in Azerbaijan is more than 70 percent. There's no censorship. All the political parties function freely," the Head of Azerbaijani State noted.

President Ilham Aliyev said that for more than 10 years, Azerbaijan has been the member of the Council of Europe, and next year Azerbaijan will be chairing this important organization.

"Azerbaijan fulfills all its obligations with respect to democratic development, human rights and freedom," he underscored.
